Cremation Block & Upliftment of Balakrishnapuram Cremation Complex

Balakrishnapuram Crematorium in Adambakkam is located in the site adjacent to Kakkan Nagar main road. The existing crematorium was initially constructed in 1991 and was redeveloped in 2008 with gasifier type cremation unit.

Project Goals

The crematorium plays a major role in the proper cremation of deceased people of the nearby community, but only one cremation unit is available in the crematorium. The authorities are planning to improve the facilities such as footpaths, waiting area and compound walls of the complex is going to be redeveloped.
